Terms & Conditions
Repairs, warranties and in-store purchases. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Our business
These terms apply to consumer repairs and in-store purchases from MUX SERVICES LTD trading as Dunstable Phone Repairs. Company number: 12375549. Registered office and shop: 16 High Street South, Dunstable, LU6 3HA, England, United Kingdom.
In-store purchases and enquiries
Purchases are completed in-store. Our website, telephone and WhatsApp channels are for enquiries; submitting an enquiry does not place an order or make a payment. Please confirm availability, condition and the agreed price in-store before purchasing.
Repair warranty
We provide a one-month warranty from the date of service completion on repairs and services, covering faults in the parts supplied or work performed. Please contact us promptly if you experience a problem. This warranty does not limit your statutory rights, which may continue beyond the warranty period.
Warranty exclusions
Our repair warranty does not cover damage caused by subsequent physical impact or liquid exposure. Screen faults including colour lines, pressure marks, black spots or no display are treated as physical damage and excluded from our repair warranty where assessment establishes that they were caused by pressure, impact or other physical damage after the repair. These symptoms alone do not establish physical damage; faults caused by defective parts or our workmanship remain covered. These exclusions do not apply to damage caused by us or remove your statutory rights.
Used and new electronics
Used electronics purchased from us carry a three-month warranty from the purchase date. For new items, any manufacturer warranty applies in addition to your rights against us as the seller. You may contact us about faulty new or used goods; you do not have to rely solely on a manufacturer warranty.
Making a claim
Please bring the device and your receipt or other reasonable proof of purchase, such as a bank statement identifying the transaction. Explain the fault so we can assess it and discuss the appropriate remedy.
Returns and statutory rights
Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, taking account of matters such as age, price and disclosed condition. Repair services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. Depending on the circumstances, your legal remedies can include repair, replacement, repeat performance, a price reduction or a refund. In-store purchases do not have an automatic change-of-mind cooling-off period. Please ask us before purchasing about any additional change-of-mind policy.
Our responsibility
The repair warranty covers the parts and services we supply, rather than unrelated device faults. We remain responsible for loss or damage we cause through failure to meet our legal obligations. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Device collection
Please collect your device within four weeks after we notify you that it is ready. If you need more time, contact us. We will contact you about uncollected devices and follow the applicable legal notice procedure before taking further action. Devices are not automatically recycled or treated as abandoned after four weeks.
Selling and trading in devices
We discuss purchases and trade-ins of phones, laptops, tablets, iPads and other devices in-store. Any offer depends on assessment and agreement; replacement devices are subject to availability. Please discuss the proposed value and arrangements with us before handing over a device.
